Design | Old College Work

This is a project I created while in college. It’s a store front model (yes hand built by me) for an eco friendly home decor shop. The store would provide eco friendly, sustainable, and renewable home decor and construction materials. The store itself would, of course, be built using eco friendly construction materials and everything they do would follow the same thinking.

My post yesterday made me think of this project, so I thought I’d share.

Home | Shipping Container

If I had a million dollars, one of the first things I’d do is build a custom home using shipping containers! It’s an inexpensive and eco friendly construction material and the possibilities for design are endless.

Home | Great Uses for Old Pallets

Wooden pallets are in abundance, and typically free. Here are a few beautiful ways to reuse them.

  1. Backyard table with planter – includes how to instructions
  2. Vertical garden
  3. Shelf

Do your research, there are numerous resources online for interesting ways to reuse pallets. A few ideas are: furniture, construction, garden, and storage. So, next time you see a pile of pallets on the side of the road, don’t just drive by, stop, pick them up, and be creative!

Home Inspiration | Landscaping

The plan is to find a new house within the next year…whether or not we will find something we like is another matter, but it has gotten me thinking about landscaping and my future vegetable garden.

So here is some landscaping inspiration. I also really like the drawing quality of these, so they double as art print inspiration too.
